<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve recording quality by obtaining the appropriate recording power of an optical beam when information is recorded particularly into the second recording layer. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of selectively accessing the first and second recording layers from one side of an optical disk using an optical disk driving motor and an optical beam control part for recording and reproducing the information, when starting the recording of the information into the second layer, a first recording power value is obtained by executing optimum power control in a power calibration area at an inner peripheral side at a first rotational speed, information recording is started from the outer peripheral side at the same rotational speed as the first rotational speed by the first recording power value, and a second recording power value is obtained by correcting the first recording power value by executing the optimum power control. When a recording position is moved from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side of the second layer, information recording is executed at the second rotational speed higher than the first rotational speed and executed with a value obtained by correcting the second recording power value with a preset value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
