<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing member for piping capable of being used for pipes having different outer diameters, and its production method. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing member for piping is of plate-like shape surrounding a first through-hole 14 through which a pipe P can pass and includes a base part 12 fixed to an architectural plate member M and a plate-like seal part 20 having a shape for surrounding a second through-hole 22 with a smaller diameter than that of the first through-hole 14 and an overlap part 24 overlapped integrally with the peripheral part 16 of the first through-hole 14 in the base part 12 while the second through-hole 22 is located inside the first through-hole 14. The seal part 20 is comprised of a softer material than the base part 12. The overlap part 24 and the part 16 in the base part 12 on which the overlap part 24 is overlapped have close contact surfaces 24a and 16a closely contacting with each other, respectively.
