<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical coil component with high precision that has improved reliability of connection between terminals and a printed circuit board by hardly placing a load on connection parts between the terminals and printed circuit board, reduces a load placed on the terminals, and can be stably mounted. <P>SOLUTION: The coil component 100 is a board dropped type that can be mounted on the printed circuit board 26 by being dropped in an aperture 28 of the printed circuit board 26 having the aperture 28. The coil component includes a first flange 12A above a second flange 12B. Terminal boards 13A and 13B are on respective opposite sides of the first flange 12A. Terminals 14A and 14B respectively project outward in a direction perpendicular to an axial direction of a winding drum 11, from the terminal boards 13A and 13B and bend and are inserted into through-holes 27A and 27B of the printed circuit board 26.
