<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material which is suitable for use in a heat source for micro heat treatment of materials. <P>SOLUTION: The material is a crystallized glass which has an excellent light absorption and efficiently converts absorbed light into heat. The crystallized glass is produced by heat-treating a glass and includes 1-10% of not less than one kind component selected from among V<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, Cr<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, MnO, Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, CoO, NiO, CuO, CeO<SB>2</SB>, Pr<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, Sm<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, Eu<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, Tb<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and Er<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>on the basis of mass% of the oxides. Preferably, a crystallized glass with desired properties, in particular a low heat expansion is presented.
