PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to place the outside of a tub utmost near a cabinet by reducing an interval maintained due to vibration and to enlarge the size of a tub without increasing the size of a cabinet. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine comprises: a tub; a drum; a driving part which comprises a rotary shaft(351) which is connected to the drum, a bearing housing(400) which pivotally supports the rotary shaft, and a motor which is connected to the rotary shaft; and a suspension unit which buffs and supports the drum and comprises a pair of axial direction brackets(440,450). The axial direction brackets are largely formed in a location wherein an interval between inner walls facing each other is further than closer.
