MODULARIZED CURRENT LIMITING UNIT FOR THE MATRIX-TYPE SUPER CONDUCTING CURRENT LIMITER

PURPOSE: A modularized current limiting unit for a matrix-type superconducting current limiter is provided to improve the Quench characteristic by reducing non-uniform difference of a critical characteristic between superconducting units. CONSTITUTION: A reactor surrounds the external circumference of a hollow body(1) which is made of Bakelite synthetic resin. Fixing frames(20) are separately arranged to the longitudinal direction of the internal circumference of the hollow body. A plurality of connection rods(30) connects the fixing frames. A pair of first molds(40) is formed between the fixing frames. A first superconducting unit(50) is connected with a current terminal(41) and a voltage terminal(45) which are combined with the first molds. A second mold(60) is formed between the first molds. A second superconductive unit(70) is connected with a current terminal(61) and a voltage terminal(65) which are combined with the second mold.
