<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which can securely discharge only unnecessary generated water to the external without a sharp increase of product cost. <P>SOLUTION: An amount of formed water to be accumulated currently in a catch tank 7 is predicted after a purge valve 6 is opened. A predictive amount of generated water is obtained based on an integration value of a power generation current from when a drain valve 9 is previously opened to the present at normal operation. When the predictive amount of generated water exceeds a threshold, the drain valve 9 is opened after a predetermined time until the generated water flows into the catch tank 7 passes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
