<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can use a common standard to both a DRAM and a nonvolatile memory in spite of the fact that bidirectional communication is required in the general nonvolatile memory so as to adjust writing between a memory controller and the memory. <P>SOLUTION: A certain package connector (ZQ pin) of a nonvolatile memory 12 can be used for one function other than communication with a memory controller 10 at reading, and also can be used for communication with the memory controller 10 at writing. Particularly, in the communication at writing, it is possible to inform the memory controller 10 whether the memory 12 is busy or the memory 12 is ready for writing, because the writing should be suspended until the nonvolatile memory 12 becomes ready for writing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
