PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of yielding a high-quality image by changing a level of gloss in every unit in which the level of gloss is to be changed for an image that is an image formation object. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a division means for dividing the image that is the image formation object formed on the same surface of the same recording medium that is image forming unit into several images according to the unit in which the level of gloss is to be changed; and a control means for controlling so that frequency of fixing processing related to an electrophotographic process may differ for a plurality of divided images divided by the division means.
