<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of trouble of operation, in an apparatus corresponding to a prescribed interface needing to notify a current consumption value from a device to a host and having a plurality of operation modes. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a storage part for storing a plurality of pieces of mode information each indicating a maximum current consumption value in each of the plurality of operation modes; an information provision part for returning the mode information according to an information provision request from the host; and a mode setting part for setting one of the plurality of operation modes as an effective operation mode according to designation based on the mode information by the host. The mode setting part sets a first operation mode wherein the maximum current consumption value is not more than a prescribed reference current value capable of being supplied by an optional host as the effective operation mode when starting connection with the host. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
