PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: in an ultrasonic transceiver for transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic frequency band, when it is installed to a vehicle, or especially is made compact, false operation occurs due to reflection from the road surface and a specific vehicle or a long-distance detection purpose is limited. SOLUTION: There is provided the ultrasonic transceiver wherein a unimorph vibrator is formed by pasting a piezoelectric element 1 inside a bottom surface of a bottomed cylindrical case and an ultrasonic wave is transmitted and received by vibration of the unimorph vibrator. In the ultrasonic transceiver, horizontal directivity becomes wide, vertical directivity is narrowed, a horizontal vertical directivity ratio is increased, unnecessary reflection from the road surface is suppressed even when the transceiver is installed in a position of the vehicle or is used for a long-distance purpose, and stable detection performance from a short distance to a long distance is secured by controlling a vibration node, narrowing a longitudinal side central part on a bottomed cylindrical case bottom surface, and increasing a width ratio to an end part.
