<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor achieving downsizing and high outputting while extending a service life and securing a high silence. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The width of front end configuring the sliding part of each feed brush 6 is set to be a half of the width of each segment 12 and heteropolar brushes adjacent in the peripheral direction are shifted in the mutually opposite directions. The position in the peripheral direction of each magnetic pole corresponding to each feed brush 6 (6a to 6d) on the outside of the radial direction of each feed brush 6 (6a to 6d) is shifted in the same direction as each corresponding feed brush 6 (6a to 6d).
