PURPOSE: A CPU, a memory power supply protecting circuit and a method thereof are provided to protect the key components from the electrical surge by watching not only voltage but also the abnormal current. CONSTITUTION: A current sensor IC(60) changes the current of the input power source into the voltage value. A comparator(100) compares the amplified voltage value with the standard value by amplifying the outputted voltage value. The comparator transfers a first signal of computer in case of the outputted voltage value exceeds the standard value. A voltage monitoring device(40) transfers a second signal of computer in case of the input power source exceeds the preset value. A switch control logic(110) is connected to comparator and voltage monitoring device in order to control the switch. A switch(170) secludes the input power source the switch control logic. |
