PURPOSE: An antithrombotic agent containing epigallocatechin-3-gallate is provided to improve suppression of TXA2 generation. CONSTITUTION: An antithrombotic agent suppressing TXA2(thromboxane A2) contains epigallocatechin-3-gallate as an active ingredient. The antithrombotic agent suppressing TXA2 generation contains epigallocatechin-3-gallate and aspirin as active ingredients. The epigallocatechin-3-gallate is a main component of green tea catechin isolated from green tea leaves. The antithrombotic agent is used in the form of injection or food additive.
