<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel which enhances the baffle portion support accuracy of a spool side braking plate integrally rotated with a spool to the spool, prevents the unnecessary inclination of the spool side braking plate, and gives stable drag performance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this spinning reel, spindle side braking plates 51, 53 and a spool side braking plate 52 are arranged around a spindle 22 in a state that the spindle pass through the plates. An engaging cylindrical portion 52c extended in the axial direction of the spindle is formed in the spindle 22-passing base portion of the spool side braking plate 52. The engaging cylindrical portion 52c is baffle-held and supported on a support portion in the spool 30. The spool side braking plate 52 can be rotated together with the spool 30.
