PURPOSE: Wiping fabric and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to make a wiper having a good cleaning effect while reducing dust when the wiper is used in a magnetic recording medium like a hard disk. CONSTITUTION: Wiping fabric includes divided filament conjugated yarns consisting of polyester and polyamide. The wiping fabric is contracted to a width of 30 - 50 %. The thickness of the processed fabric is stretched to 100- 300%. The wiping fabric has a tape shape having a width of 2- 12 centimeter. The wiping fabric is used for cleaning and polishing a magnetic recording medium. |
