PURPOSE: A power control method of AMOLED and a device thereof are provided to increase the battery lifespan of a mobile terminal by controlling the entire brightness according to the ratio of a bright color in image data. CONSTITUTION: A frame data ratio, which means the ratio of the number of light emitting pixels representing a specific color, is calculated(S301). A frame data rate and the reduced amount of mapped brightness are confirmed(S303). The entire brightness is controlled according to the reduced amount of brightness(S305). The amount of light emitting of light emitting pixels is controlled by controlling a current and a voltage which are supplied to a light emitting pixel(S307).
