PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability and operation efficiency by constituting a machine body so as to start after finishing the transplantation of seedlings in an amount of one stump when carrying out the seedling-transplanting operation at the vicinity of a levee. SOLUTION: The seedling transplanter is equipped with an forward and backward motion operation means (24) for controlling the forward and backward motion of the machine body, and a transplanting lifting and lowering means (28U and 28D) for controlling the lifting and lowering of the seedling-transplanting part. The seedling transplanter is constituted so as to be controllable so that the machine body may start after transplanting the seedlings in the amount of one stump by the drive of a seedling-transplanting part when the seedling-transplanting part is lowered to the seedling-transplanting position by the transplanting lifting and lowering means (28U and 28D), and the machine body is operated to a forward motion zone by the forward and backward motion operation means (24).
