PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting display body for sign that expresses an illumination function by a luminous radiative material during a power failure, emits dazzled illumination light close to a white fluorescent lamp using the luminous radiative material, and can be kept for a long time in an internal radiation type laminate for sign suitably used for an outdoor advertisement sign and an indoor advertisement sign, and to provide an illumination system and an illumination method of the light emitting display body. SOLUTION: These light emitting display body for sign (1) and light emitting display body system for sign (11) are set as an illumination system where a fiber cloth (3) is used as a substrate, a light propagating translucent resin layer (4) is disposed on one surface or larger, a light diffusion laminate (2) with a display layer (10) is used that has a luminous radiative layer (5) containing fluorescent whitening compound disposed between the fiber cloth (3) and the light propagating translucent resin layer (4), and a near ultraviolet light emitting diode (6) is arranged facedly to an end cross section of the light diffusion laminate (2). Thus, the light emitting diode (6) is made to perform battery light emission during the power failure, the light is radiated from the end cross section of the light propagating translucent resin layer (4), the whole surface of the luminous radiative layer (5) is made to perform white light emission, and this is set as emergency light illumination.
