<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology removing foreign matter in EGR gas with higher probability and inhibiting increase of pressure loss in an EGR passage by a foreign matter removing device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Foreign matter in EGR gas is collected by a mash like collection means 21. The foreign matter collected by the mesh like collection means 21 is removed by brushing a surface on an upstream side of the mesh like collection means 21 by a brushing means 22.
