Article comprised by an orthesis or orthopaedic element (1) for local and specific application to part of the patient's body to be treated and comprising zones for heating by means of heating elements (2) using the Joule effect, these heating elements (2) being connected by means of electrical conductors (3) to a control unit (4) having an electric power source for operation. The heating elements (2) are formed by an electrothermal fabric which comprises conductive textile fibres or threads, it being envisaged that the electrothermal fabric is formed by means of the embroidering or incorporation of said threads or conductive wires in the form of a circuit on the base fabric of the orthesis or orthopaedic element (1).
