<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a SQUID fluxmeter that changes over functions of a coaxial type primary gradiometer and a flat type primary gradiometer, while taking the basic configuration of the coaxial type primary gradiometer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The SQUID fluxmeter to which a magnetic flux generated from a living body magnetic field is input through a pick-up coil includes a pick-up coil means having a first pick-up coil and a second pick-up coil wound on a concentric-circle-shaped bobbin, spaced from each other at a prescribed distance in the axial direction of the bobbin, a first SQUID fluxmeter and a second SQUID fluxmeter to which the detected magnetic fluxes of the first and second pick-up coils are input independently respectively, and an arithmetic means which computes outputs of these first and second SQUID fluxmeters and outputs the results.
