<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motor retractor improving clutch releasing performance when webbing reattachment action is carried out, and ensuring an occupant non-pressing property in a webbing wearing state. <P>SOLUTION: Energizing force of an energizing member for energizing a take-up shaft in a webbing take-up direction is set according to the occupant non-pressing property in the webbing wearing state. When an occupant draws out the webbing while the webbing is taken up by normal rotations of a motor in order to wear it again, a constraint current passing through the motor is detected, thereby reversing the motor. Therefore, an output shaft of the motor and the take-up shaft synchronously rotate, so that the generation of unpleasant feeling or incompatibility can be suppressed. Then, the reverse rotations of the motor continues until the output shaft of the motor relatively rotates by at least predetermined amount to the take-up shaft to release the clutch.
