ASPHERIC LENS AND OPTICAL PICKUP EMPLOYING THE SAME AS OBJECTIVE LENS

PURPOSE: An aspheric lens and an optical pickup employing the same as an objective lens are provided to increase tolerance of axis deviation without increasing the slope of a lens surface. CONSTITUTION: An optical pick-up(50) comprises a light source(11), an objective lens(17), an optical detector(19), an optical path converter(15), a wave plate(13), and a collimating lens(12). The objective lens focuses incident light onto an optical disc. The optical detector receives the light reflected off the optical disc. The light path converter changes a propagation path of the incident light. The wave plate diversifies the polarized light of the incident light. The collimating lens makes collimated light enter the objective lens.
