PURPOSE: A uranium oxide sinter including polyvinyl alcohol aluminum complex and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce initial high densification phenomenon in a furnace by manufacturing the sinter having a crystalline granule structure and a pore structure. CONSTITUTION: PVA aqueous solution and a PVA-Al(III) complex are added to UO2 powder(S10). Compact powder is created by pressurizing the mixed UO2 powder(S20). The manufactured compact powder is sintered in the electric resistance furnace under hydrogen condition at 1600-1750°C(S30). The PVA-Al(III) complex additive comprises the PVA aqueous solution 100ml volume part of 4×10^-2 unit mole, AlCl_3 25ml volume part of 5×10^-3 mole and 0.1 M-HCl and 0.1 M-NaOH solution. |
