DISTORTION COMPENSATION APPARATUS AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A distortion compensation apparatus is provided to determine the power critical value and its number for switching over the power series in a pre-distortion processing using the power series, without the effect to the transmission signal output. CONSTITUTION: A distortion compensation unit(401) implements a distortion compensation by grade operation processing according to the various power ranges of feedback signal. A coefficient update algorithm unit(405-3) renews number of scale for each power series. A power threshold value updater(405-5) operates the distortion compensation part and the coefficient update algorithm unit altogether with changing the power critical value.
