<p>PURPOSE: A rotary tool for boring holes, which is equipped with a cartridge having a cutting insert, is provided to control the diameter of holes to be bored without exchange of cartridge. CONSTITUTION: A rotary tool(20) for boring holes comprises a tool body, outer and inner cartridges(22,32), and a setting plate(28). The tool body comprises one or more cutting chip discharge grooves and pockets(23,33) for outer and inner cartridges. The outer and inner cartridges respectively have one or more cutting inserts(25,34) and bolt holes. The outer and inner cartridges are respectively installed with bolts to the pockets for outer and inner cartridges. The setting plate contacts the pocket for an outer cartridge and the outer cartridge and is installed with a fixing bolt(26) in a screw hole(27) which is formed in a side wall of the outer cartridge.</p> |
