A FUEL SUPPLY PUMP FOR A DIESEL ENGINE

PURPOSE: A fuel supply pump of an engine which makes the pressure maintenance of a pump housing easy is provided to prevent the leakage of fuel through an interval between a cam shaft and a cam shaft insertion hole. CONSTITUTION: A fuel supply pump of an engine comprises a pump housing(10), an eccentric cam(20), a cam housing(22) and an oilless bearing(50). A cam shaft insert hole(11) is formed in one side of the pump housing. The eccentric cam is installed inside the pump housing. A cam-shaft(21) inserted to a cam-shaft insertion hole and the exposed outside of the pump housing is combined in the eccentric cam. The cam housing reciprocates in the inside of the pump housing with the eccentric cam. The oilless bearing is inserted into the inside of the cam-shaft insertion hole. A penetration hole(51) with the cam-shaft passed through is formed in the central part of the oilless bearing. A plurality of sealant insertion holes vertically penetrated with the cam-shaft is formed in the outer side surface. Sealant is filled in the inner side of the sealant insertion hole.
