METHOD FOR ENHANCING CAPACITY IN MULTIUSER MIMO SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for improving communication capacity of multiuser multiple antenna systems is provided to determine the proper number of transmitting antennas using the signal-noise ratio of a receiving terminal and the covariance information of a channel. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting terminal transmits first pilot signals to each receiving terminal(300). Channel state information using the using the first pilot signal is fed back from each receiving terminal(302). Using the channel state information which is fed back, the number of the transmitting antennas of the transmitting terminal is determined to use data transmission. Using the determined number of antennas, the transmitting terminal transmits second pilot signals to each receiving terminal(306).
