PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring the light absorption of a detection chamber of a microflow apparatus are provided to reduce the error of the light absorption of a detection chamber due to the variation of the luminous intensity of a light source and to rapidly determine the light absorption. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring the light absorption of a detection chamber of a microflow apparatus comprises a rotary driving unit(510) which rotates a microflow apparatus(100), a light source(520) which directs light to a standard chamber(90) and a detection chamber(70), a photo detector(530) which is arranged to the light source and detects the transmission light intensity of the light passing through the standard chamber and the detection chamber, and a controller(600) which detects a first transmission light intensity passing through the detection chamber from the output signal of the photo detector and determines a standard transmission light intensity.
