PURPOSE: A composition containing herb extract is provided to prevent or treat various inflammatory diseases caused by IL-32. CONSTITUTION: A herb extract for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases contains extract of discoreae Rhizoma, liriopis Tuber, asparagus cochinchinensis, polygalae Radix, acori graminei Rhizoma, zizyphi spinosi Semen, longanae Arillus, scutellariae Radix, radish seed, thujae Semen and Chrysanthemi Flos. The herb extract contains quercetin. The herb extract suppresses IL-32 expression. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammatory diseases contains the herb extract as an active ingredient.
