PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator car for easily performing the installation work of a windbreak device and maintenance-inspection work in a wind straightening cover by enhancing the efficiency of the attaching/detaching work of a wind straightening cover panel by reducing the number of fastening members. SOLUTION: An upper wind straightening cover 21 is composed of first-fourth upper wind straightening cover panels 22-25. First and second upper guide rails are arranged so as to extend in the frontage direction to an edge upper part in the front and in the rear in the depth direction of a cage 11. The first and second upper wind straightening cover panels 22 and 23 are connected by a connecting plate 34 and a bolt 35 in a butted state by fitting the first and second upper panel supports 30 and 31 in a sliding manner from both sides in the frontage direction to the first upper guide rail. The third and fourth upper wind straightening cover panels 24 and 25 are also connected by the connecting plate and the bolt in the abutted state by fitting the third and fourth upper panel supports in a sliding manner from both sides in the frontage direction to the second upper guide rail.
