PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To replace a word included in an input text with a word fit to a vocabulary ability of a hearing person. SOLUTION: This text replacement device or the like sets a vocabulary ability level, analyzes the input text to input the word, determines whether the degree of word difficulty set preliminarily in each word exceeds the set vocabulary ability level or not (step S23), replaces the word when the degree of word difficulty exceeds the vocabulary ability level (step S24), and outputs the word as it is, without replacing the word, when the degree of word difficulty does not exceed the vocabulary ability level.
