PURPOSE: An information providing service system using a text message and a method thereof are provided to search requested information and related detailed information and transfer the detailed information to a user terminal through the text message thereby providing useful information to a user. CONSTITUTION: If a user requests information, an information providing server(130) provides the requested information to a user. The information providing server searches detailed information related to the requested information after providing the requested information. The information providing server provides the searched detailed information to an SMS(Short Message Service) server(120). The text message server transmits a text message including the searched detailed information to a terminal(110).
