<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of deteriorating the detection accuracy of a detection sensor for detecting a position in the width direction of a sheet, when a skew is caused in the sheet since the sheet rotates when reversely carrying the sheet. <P>SOLUTION: A freely rocking guide member 27 is arranged in a branch part between a sheet carrying passage and a both-surface carrying passage 82. A butting part 27c against which the leading end of the sheet butts is formed in the freely rocking guide 27, and the skew of the leading end of the sheet is corrected when the leading end of the sheet butts against the butting part 27c. After correcting the skew by the butting part 27c, the position in the width direction of the sheet is detected by a lateral registration detection sensor 24 of both-surface carrying passage 82. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
