PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage device enabling both elongation of a lifetime and high speed start of a power storage part. SOLUTION: This device comprises: the power storage part 23 comprising a capacitor; a charging circuit 19, a discharging circuit 27 and a voltage detection circuit 25 which are connected to the power storage part 23; and a control circuit 37 connected to the charging circuit 19, the discharging circuit 27, and the voltage detection circuit 25. The control circuit 37 measures a period (ts) between a using start time and a using finish time by a built-in timer, and discharges from the power storage part 23 by the discharging circuit 27 after finish of use until a voltage (Vc) of the power storage part 23 reaches a discharge terminal voltage (Vd) determined corresponding to the period (ts).
