An apparatus and method for displaying capsule endoscope images and record media storing a program for carrying out that method is disclosed, which is capable of reducing playing time of the capsule endoscope images by forming a plurality of similar-image groups with a plurality of image frames from an endoscope image stream, and displaying a representative image frame for each similar-image group, the method comprising receiving image data taken by a capsule endoscope inserted into the inside of an examinee; generating an endoscope image stream by using the received image data; forming a plurality of similar-image groups with a plurality of image frames by using the endoscope image stream; determining a representative image frame for each similar-image group by using the image frames included in each similar-image group; and displaying the representative image frame for each similar-image group. |
