<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a display device for displaying the road surface state of a side of a vehicle body and existence of an obstacle at parking of the vehicle body on a monitor with sufficient visibility. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a monitor control ECU for controlling display of the monitor 16 from attitude of the monitor 16 and a shift position of a transmission. The monitor control ECU displays any one of a front image (HF), a back image (HR) and a navigation image (HN) at standard attitude that the monitor 16 is made to laterally lengthy attitude. When the monitor 16 at the reference attitude is operated to vertically lengthy left rotation attitude by rotating it to left, a left road surface image (VL) photographed by a left side camera is displayed. When the monitor 16 is operated to vertically lengthy right rotation attitude by rotating it from the laterally lengthy attitude to right, a right road surface image (VR) photographed by a right side camera is displayed.
