<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reformer in which an undesired high temperature portion is prevented from being formed in a reaction part of a catalytic oxidation system to prevent flashback. <P>SOLUTION: The reformer includes: a first reaction part in which first fuel is burned by a first catalyst to be disposed in a first chamber to generate heat; a second reaction part which is heated by the heat generated in the first reaction part and in which second fuel is reformed by a second catalyst; and a flashback prevention part in which a plurality of flow straightening plates are disposed across a speed control space for controlling the speed of the first fuel flowing in the inflow end side of the first catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
