摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having excellent color reproducibility and capable of displaying all object colors specified by Pointer's Color. <P>SOLUTION: A white LED element is used, the emission spectrum of which shows a first peak wavelength from 440 nm to 470 nm, a second peak wavelength from 500 nm to 560 nm, and a third peak wavelength from 630 nm to 670 nm, with the emission intensities L1, L2 and L3 of the first peak wavelength, the second peak wavelength and the third peak wavelength, respectively, satisfy an expression (1):3.0&le;L1/L2&le;8.0 and an expression (2):0.5&le;L3/L2&le;1.0.
