<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator capable of operating work without dropping dust gathered by a filter to a room side at the maintenance of the filter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the ventilator, a motor-driven blower and a filter unit are arranged in a device body having a suction port and a discharge port on the side face, and the filter unit is disposed in the lower part of the device body freely removably from the device body lower face. The ventilator also includes the filter arranged horizontally and using its lower face side as a suction face, a tray arranged below the filter to receive dust dropped from the filter, and an air suction port arranged at the outer circumference of a space formed between the filter and the tray.
