Provided are absorbent articles wherein comfort and absorbency of liquid excretions have been improved as a result of specific changes in product shape when worn. Said absorbent articles comprise at least a liquid-permeable sheet, a liquid-impermeable sheet, and an absorbent body that is sandwiched between said liquid-permeable sheet and said liquid-impermeable sheet. On the side of said absorbent article that contacts the skin, a pair of pressure strip grooves is formed to the right and left in the longitudinal direction. Both of the pressure strip grooves are separated at least into right and left pressure strip grooves that are positioned on the side edges in the longitudinal direction in the center of the absorbent body, front pressure strip groves that are positioned in the front part in the longitudinal direction of said side edges, and back pressure strip groves that are positioned in the back part in the longitudinal direction of said side edges. In said separated portions, the ends of the pressure strip grooves that are positioned on the innermost side in the width direction of said pressure strip grooves are formed to run parallel with the center line in the longitudinal direction or to face outward in the width direction.
