The sensor arrangement for monitoring a continuous operation of UV-disinfection system (1) for drinking water, where the UV-disinfection system comprises a radiation chamber (2) continuously flowed through by a medium (4) to be disinfected and an UV-radiator (3) arranged in the radiation chamber, comprises a first surface (7) of a first UV-sensor (8) and a second surface of a second UV-sensor, which are arranged into the radiation chamber in a different distance to the UV-radiator and are aligned at a central area of the UV-radiator in a predetermined angle. The UV-sensors are arranged in passages of a wall of the radiation chamber, and arranged in direct vicinity to each other or in opposite to each other. The first sensor surface closes with an inner surface of the wall of the radiation chamber. The UV-sensors are structurally identical, calibrated, arranged in common sensor housing, and connected to a common evaluation unit. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a sensor arrangement.</p>
