The gearbox has two planetary gear wheels (32) rotatably mounted at an outer side of a primary shaft (12) and comprising an axis of rotation (DA) pointing transverse to a central axis (ZA) of the gearbox. Two secondary gear wheels (18, 20) are rotatably mounted on the primary shaft, where each planetary gear wheel has a cone teeth section (40) that engages with the one of the secondary gear wheels. Another cone teeth section (46) is concentric to the former cone teeth section and engaged with the other secondary gear wheel. The planetary gear wheels are designed as bevel gears. An independent claim is also included for a drive train of a motor vehicle, comprising two axles.
