POWER STEERING SYSTEM WITH MDPS AND EHPS' PARALLEL

PURPOSE: A steering system of a vehicle, combining a motor driven power steering method and an electro-hydraulic power steering is provided to secure safety with performing a complementary function by supplying insufficient steering force in case of the malfunction of a main motor or a heavy vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A steering system of a vehicle, combining a motor driven power steering method and an electro-hydraulic power steering comprises: a motor driven power steering which comprises a main motor(11) assisting steering power and assists steering power by using the torque of the main motor; an electro-hydraulic power steering which assists steering power by fluid pressure generated by the drive of a hydraulic pump(15); and an ECU(12) which controls the drive of the hydraulic pump and the main motor. The main motor is operated according to controlling from the ECU.
