<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub apparatus capable of preventing deterioration in heat insulation performance which is caused by the formation of a gap between an edge protector of a bath cover and a flange of a bathtub. <P>SOLUTION: The bathtub apparatus includes the bath cover 2 placed on the flange 10 which is formed at the upper peripheral edge of the bathtub 1. The elastic edge protector 22 is attached to the whole peripheral edge of the cover body 21 of the bath cover 2, so as to position the lower end of the edge protector 22 to be lower than the lower end of the peripheral edge of the cover body 21. A water storage recess 3 to face upward is formed in a part, where the whole peripheral edge of the bath cover 2 is placed, on the upper surface of the flange 10. When water W is stored in the water storage recess 3 and the bath cover 2 is placed on the flange 10, sealing is performed between the edge protector 22 and the flange 10 by interposition of water in the water storage recess 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
