<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering unit capable of positively suppressing generation of abnormal sounds. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular steering unit 1 has a ball screw mechanism 25 converting rotation of a ball nut 58 driven by an electric motor 23 via a reduction gear 24 into axial movement of a rack shaft 10. The reduction gear 24 includes a parallel axis gear mechanism 34 having a driving gear 36, an idle gear 37, and a driven gear 38 meshing in sequence, a common support member 40 rotatably supporting the driving gear 36 and the idle gear 37, and an energizing member 42 energizing the support member 40. The support member 40 is supported rotatably around a center axis C1 in parallel with a rotation center C2 of the driving gear 36 and a rotation center C3 of the idle gear 37 by a reduction gear housing 27 housing the reduction gear 24. The energizing member 42 energizes the support member 40 in a direction M1 pressing the idle gear 37 toward the driven gear 38 rotatably around the center axis C1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
