<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance support for an active ingredient using a hyperbranched polymer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hyperbranched polymer is obtained by addition polymerization of a glycidyl ether compound (A) including a compound (a) represented by general formula (I) including a glycidyl ether group and a hydroxy group in the presence of a basic catalyst (B) and has an epoxy group on the terminal end, wherein X is a substituted alkane that may have a heteroatom in a molecule, the glycidyl ether group and the hydroxy group may link to a same carbon atom or a different carbon atom respectively, of the carbon atoms constituting the substituted alkane X, m is an integer of 2 or more, n is an integer of 1 or more, and m>n>0.
