PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazin-3-ylsulfonamide derivative which has a substituent bonded to the 6-position carbon atom which is a synthetic intermediate of a herbicide. SOLUTION: The method for producing the imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazin-3-ylsulfonamide derivative which has a substituent bonded to the 6-position carbon atom and is represented by the formula (II) comprises reacting an imidazo[1,2-b]pyridazine compound represented by the formula (I) with an organometallic compound in the presence of a transition metal catalyst. In formula (I), X represents a halogen atom, Y represents a hydrogen atom, and Z represents a halogen atom or OSO<SB>2</SB>R<SP>3</SP>. In formula (II), R represents a lower alkyl group, a lower cycloalkyl group optionally substituted by a lower alkyl group, a lower alkenyl group, or a lower alkynyl group.
