<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end cap and a molding for an automobile using the same excellent in assemble performance of the end cap to a molding body, and capable of preventing a gap and looseness between the end cap and the molding body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the molding for the automobile including the molding body 10 and the end cap 20 inserted into a terminal part 11 of the molding body 10, the molding body 10 includes a base part 15 and a pair of flange parts 12 bent back from width direction both sides of the base part 15 to back surface sides, one of the flange part 12a has a notch 13 for preventing looseness of the end cap 20, the other flange part 12b has a notch 14 for preventing coming-off of the end cap 20, and the end cap 20 includes a design part 21 closing the terminal of the molding body 10 and an insertion part 22 inserted into the inside from the terminal of the molding body 10.
